Integration Doc Available

We're pleased to issue the latest documentation outlining how content can be moved from AP Exchange & AP's database to production and editorial systems. We're working with about 14 different system vendors to ensure the AP vision of delivery through the web is aligned with their systems. Some vendors are in great shape, others close and we still have work to do with a few more. Certainly, this is a new model for vendors and we appreciate that some time is needed for them to accomodate this new approach.

Atex working to integrate Exchange

We were very happy on Monday to receive an email from Peter Marsh of Atex confirming that Atex engineers will be working to get the Saved Searches you create in Exchange into your ATEX systeme, in addition to saving single stories and pics. Peter is the SVP and COO for ATEX Americas and from the beginning of our work with production systems, Atex has been enthused about AP's move to online delivery. You'll be hearing more from us and ATEX as the engineers work to make this happen. Thanks to Atex for working with AP on this new model of delivery.

Working With DTI

For members working with a DTI system, we had a good meeting Monday with DTI's product people and engineers. We can report that you can download AP Exchange stories into folders monitored by your DTI system. Once a story/pic hits that folder, it will be ingested into DTI. As well, you are able to email stories, photos etc into your DTI system. You can send in a single story or an entire, ongoing Saved Search. Next step with DTI is to assist their engineers with importing a RSS feed. We'll keep you posted on that.
